The work is a joint operation of Gateshead and Durham Presbyterian Church on behalf of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church in England and Wales (http://www.epcew.org.uk). However, under these sessions it is the Hilton family that are heading the work.
Hiltons – Nathan, Anna, Mary and Ruth
Nathan was born in Sunderland, and raised in north-east England. He was converted under the early ministry of Gateshead Presbyterian Church in 2009, and subsequently married Anna, a member of Durham and then Gateshead Presbyterian Church from her infancy. The Lord has thus far blessed Nathan and Anna with two children, Mary aged two, and Ruth who is under one; all four are currently members of Gateshead Presbyterian Church. The family love spending time together and serving in Christ’s Church.
Nathan sensed a call to ministry early in his walk with the Lord. In conjunction with the pastoral care of Rev Schweitzer and the elders of Gateshead, Nathan has tested his call through preaching and teaching ministries in Gateshead, Hexham, and several other local and national churches. He is currently under care of the EPCEW and finishing his MDiv through Greenville and Westminster Presbyterian Theological Seminary; he graduated in May 2018, was licensed for ministerial work in September, and will ordained on the 17th of November.
Nathan currently teaches the monthly Bible studies in Sunderland and is working through the book of Acts. He is supported in this work by Rev Schweitzer in Gateshead, and Rev Baiden in Durham. Alongside this work Nathan is a ministerial assistant in Gateshead Presbyterian Church where he regularly teaches, leads the children’s ministry, and supports the minister in church and seminary work.
